Boy Scouts

Glen Moore Methodist Church has been a charter organization for the Scouting Program for over 77 years. The Church charters Cub Pack 79 and Boy Scout Troop 79. We believe that the Scouting program helps our Nation’s youth develop leadership skills and Citizenship. It also provides the opportunity to strive toward the 12th point of the Scout Law. “A Scout is Reverent.”

If you would like information on the opportunities that the Scouting Program can offer your family please call the Church Office. You can request information on how to reach our local Scouting Leaders.

The Methodist Women

The Methodist Women’s group is a community of women who are organized for mission and whose members are committed to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ in community with other women and turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth in our local community and around the world.  The Methodist Women's group has been in service to this church and the surrounding community for 149 years.

Sunday School

We have a small mountain dulcimer group at Glen Moore Methodist Church. What is a mountain dulcimer, you ask? Sometimes called an Appalachian or lap dulcimer, it is a fretted string instrument, usually either hourglass or teardrop in shape, and has three or four strings. It is one of the easiest instruments to learn to play and the name, dulcimer, is taken from words that mean “sweet sound.”

Examples of music played on the mountain dulcimer are easy to find on YouTube. Our group usually meets twice a month and plays a variety of tunes, mostly hymns. We sometimes perform as a group or individually for an occasional Sunday church service. A couple of members teach the basics and have a loaner dulcimer or two.

Come join the fun. Experienced and new players are always welcome. If interested, please contact the church office at 610-942-2324.
