Dan A. Hepner Biographical Background

Daniel Allen Hepner answered the call to ministry by first attending a Lay Speakers training session in 1996 sponsored by the United Methodist Church. From there he started to pray where God was leading him and entered into discernment and prayer and then ultimately into entering the Wesleyan Extension Licensed Local Pastor school and graduating in 2001. In 2006, God called Dan to serve as the appointed Lead Pastor of Glenmoore United Methodist Church in Glenmoore, Pennsylvania. In that same year, Dan started attending and studying at Evangelical School of Theology. Dan served Glenmoore United Methodist Church until 2008 when he was appointed by the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church to Hopewell United Methodist Church in Downingtown, Pennsylvania as Pastor of Discipleship. Working throughout his ministry career as a bi-vocational appointed pastor (corporate insurance career), Dan continued to study at Evangelical School of Theology. Dan retired from his corporate career in June 2021 and concurrently was appointed to serve again as Lead Pastor at Glenmoore United Methodist as well as maintaining his quarter time position at Hopewell UMC involved in Men’s Ministries.

Dan was born and raised in King of Prussia, Pa and attended and graduated from Montgomery County Community College (Associate Degree in Criminal Justice) and West Chester University (Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Science). Dan started his professional career proudly serving as a police officer in the City of Charlotte, North Carolina.

He and his wife, Donna, have been married since 1980 and are the proud and blessed parents of four adult daughters, and proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
